This week I was asked to join a spring club ball team. I was really excited when I got asked because these are girls I haven’t played with. It was our first practice today and it was really intense! We ran some really hard drills and I got tired really fast. I guess I better get in shape
It was really fun practicing with the girls and I’m looking forward to improving with them!
I’m also really excited for the summer because I’m going to lots of basketball camps with my friends.
I’ve got a lot of thing off this past few weeks and I am so happy!
Last week I got my CAST OFF! It felt really weird when it came off. It’s really weak! I put lots of lotion on it cause it was really dry! My arm is also really hairy! I’ve never seen it so skinny before! I’ve shot lots of baskets to get my form back. I’m so happy I got it off!
A few days ago I got my BRACES OFF! I got my braces Last March, so I’ve had them on for a year! My teeth feel way different. I’m really glad I got them because they’re really straight! Hopefully I wont have to get another cast or braces again!
First Time Snowboarding Results
We went with our friends Darren and his two boys Dustin and Rylin. When they got to our house we loaded our stuff in the vehicle and headed off.
We finally got there and we jumped out and carried our stuff to the lodge. We paid for everything, then what seemed to be like forever we strapped our boards on. My dad has skied for his whole life so he wasn’t used to snowboarding. Our Uncle Darren (Who isn’t really our uncle he’s just a good friend) is really, really, good at snowboarding. So he taught us the basics. Daxon and Rylin are only 9 and 8 and caught on really fast on how to get off the ski lift. After a few attempts I caught on to it too. Uncle Darren just started us off on snowploughing back and forth. We did that for about two runs and then went on a different run, but still snowploughed. Dustin and I are both 12 so we started going by ourselves and quickly got on the chair lift and skied down.
About the sixth run we all went up together. My brother and dad went on a different run and asked if I wanted to go with them. I said “no” ‘cause I wanted to go on a more difficult run. Then we started going… I was doing amazing, better than I ever thought I would do. At the end it gets really flat and if you fall it’s hard to get back up. Close to the end I fell. It was pretty hard to get back up so I attempted a few times then pushed myself really hard and got up. I went about two feet then fell again. I landed on my right wrist. For a moment I was stunned to what just happened. Then there was a burst of pain. I’ve never been in so much pain in my life. Of course I didn’t cry… Well maybe a little. I started to cry and call for Darren who was already down the hill but he could see me easily. He ran up the hill and asked me what happened. I told him that I fell on my wrist and that it feels like it’s broken. He tried to take my glove off to see if it was fractured and bleeding, because my friend had a compound fracture earlier in November but that’s another story. While I was getting mad at him that he didn’t know how to loosen my glove my dad and brother skied down to see what was up.
I still wish I hadn’t broken my arm but at least I’m now ambidextrous haha.
Well I hope none of you guys break anything or have broken something.
Well thanks for reading and I’ll keep you posted about my life!
Tia
